Kristin Chenoweth Reveals Hidden Track Within "For The Girls" Album

Kristin Chenoweth doesn’t arrive in a pink bubble, she doesn't do karate, but she does love Chic-Fil-A and designing jewelry. These are just a few nuggets of wisdom that we learned when the Broadway powerhouse visited CMT Radio ahead of her album release.

Kristin's album, 'For The Girls,' is here and its fantastic!

During her sit-down interview, Kristin revealed what this record means to her, the message she hopes to share, and wait…there's a hidden track!

CMT RADIO: What does this album mean to you?

KRISTIN: "You know we are talking about lanes and how we are supposed to stay in a certain lane? My lanes are vast, and I don't say that with any arrogance at all. I'm just saying. I like to sing opera. I was raised on gospel and country music. I love to do that with my voice. I haven't mastered rap, nor should I. I love singing pop. But the truth is, why do I have to pick one?"

"Can't I do a lot of different things, if I want. I have never been allowed to do that. Luckily, I have a label that allowed me to put on the same record artists like, Judy Garland, Doris Day, Eva Cassidy, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly, and Reba."

CMT RADIO: These songs reflect iconic artists with powerful voices. That alone is a powerful message, but what are you hoping fans will take away when listening?

KRISTIN: "What I wanted to do with the record is say, the rules are getting wider. There's not that many more anymore. That's what I want. If you do a lot of different things, do it."

CMT RADIO: Is there a song that didn't cut, but that you had hoped would have?

KRISTIN: It's a little-known fact. At the beginning of my arrangement of "I Will Always Love You," you will hear Bonnie Raitt, "I Can't Make You Love Me." It was my little secret. "I Can't Make You Love Me" didn't make it on there and it should have, but I think that there will be a part two to this record. I have it. it's recorded."

'For The Girls,' is available now on all of your streaming devices. Listen through the tracks and prepare yourself as Kristin heads to the Nederlander Theatre in NYC for a two-week run of special performances. Tickets for her live performance are on sale now by clicking HERE.
