Gay Couple Forced Out Of Their Uber Along Freeway After Kissing

Uber wasn't the place to be for one gay Houston couple after they were forced out of their ride this weekend when the driver witnessed them exchange a kiss.

In a new story making the rounds, Randall Magill and Jose Chavez decided to take an Uber car home after celebrating a holiday gathering at a friend's house on Saturday (December 30) when they kissed in the backseat of the car. As the story hoes, the driver became angry, pulled over the vehicle and forced them to leave the car in a desolate neighborhood at 4M. Instead of fighting the driver, the recently-engaged couple crossed the freeway together to get another Uber ride him.

"I'm not going to embarrass myself or my fiancé—I’ve never heard of anybody being asked to stop kissing anywhere, especially when you're just peck-peck on the lips," Magill told local Houston news station KPRC-TV

According to reports, the Uber driver had recently told a straight couple to stop kissing in his car, too. As for Uber's thoughts on the matter, well, they are currently investigating the incident and said they will take appropriate action. Both the driver and the couple reported the incident.

Wondering what Uber's guidelines regarding physical content entail? "As our community guidelines make clear, you shouldn’t touch or flirt with other people in the car. As a reminder, Uber has a no sex rule. That’s no sexual conduct with drivers or fellow riders, no matter what. And you should never hit or otherwise hurt a driver or fellow passenger," the guidelines reads.
